Senior Frontend Developer - full-time (f/m/d)
contextflow is an award-winning startup developing artificial intelligence based software applications to support radiologists during their clinical routine. Our innovative medical products strive to bring state-of-the-art deep learning into clinical radiology routine. We are an ISO 13485:2016 certified medical device company and are currently expanding our team providing the unique opportunity to join our software development team as a Senior Frontend Developer.
You will have the chance to play a key role during development of medical device software products, maintain and extend our existing software product and participate in the development of future products.
As a senior frontend engineer at contextflow, you will support our team in developing and maintaining the web based frontend of our core product and helping to put our system in production.
As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will:
Lead the Frontend Development for our core product
Develop, improve and maintain Applications written in
React/TypeScript
Elm
Nodejs
Go
Lead the transition of the main application from using elm to React/TypeScript
What we are looking for:
5+ years of work experience in web development, build clean and efficient code
Extensive experience with functional programming specifically with Elm or similar e.g. Reason, PureScript or Haskell and willingness to learn Elm
Extensive experience with React and its core principles.
Architect and plan the frontend structure of new applications, ensuring scalability and performance.
Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
Experience with state of the art frontend unit test frameworks (Jest, …)
Version control with git
Motivated to learn new technologies (we currently use Go and NodeJs for the backend, Elm and React/TypeScript for the frontend and Nix/Nixos for development environments and deployment.)
Experience with GQL (our main internal API technology).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
Finding your way around the console
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Elm, React or similar frameworks
A feeling for design
Work permit in EU or within +-2 hours of UTC
Fluency in english both written and spoken
Empathy for each other
Bonus Skills:
Experience with development of CE-mark or FDA-approved software, following IEC 62304
Building front- or back-ends handling large (medical) image data
Familiarity with DICOM standard
Understanding of general workflow in clinical routine
Work experience in the medical domain
Experience with Docker and CI
